Another productive night!
October 27th, 2009Jacki and her friend are out advertising Static www.staticgame.com in Salem, MA today; I’m hanging back and finishing up the game… kinda jealous, I love Salem around Halloween, save for the traffic.
Last night was very productive, puzzle after puzzle getting everything integrated, marking the design document with ‘X’s after each completion. It’s comforting to see more ‘X’s than not with the deadline so close
You can sleep when you’re dead
October 26th, 2009…or at least after Halloween…
We’re coming into the home stretch for Static: Investigator Training; and it’s looking really good. I’m gonna go put on another pot of coffee.
Busy, Busy, Busy
October 21st, 2009Jacki and I are busily working on the full version of STATIC www.staticgame.com
In addition to fixing issues and adding feature requests from folks who have played the Beta/Demo
Overall we are right on schedule!
STATIC: Investigator Training Demo is up!
October 15th, 2009check it out at www.staticgame.com

New Static: Crunch-Time Vlog Coming
October 15th, 2009After a long, long night, we finished the Static: Investigator Training Demo (www.staticgame.com will be updated later today)
And we’ll be posting another Static: Crunch-Time Vlog tonight!
Morning Already?
October 14th, 2009Jacki and I spent 7 hours last night working on the STATIC: Investigator Training – DEMO
Got a preliminary version sent off to a tester; tonight we’ve got some finishing touches to do, but it looks like it’s just about ready for release!
After that, it’s the mad dash for our Halloween release of the full game!
P.S. if anyone has any extra sleep, we could use it
No rest for the weary!
October 13th, 2009Jacki and I had a hugely productive weekend; and the Static: Investigator Training Demo is almost finished; you can expect to find it on www.staticgame.com this week.
Hunkering Down:
So in an effort to keep development smooth through Static: IT and into Morning’s Wrath 2; Jacki and I have moved our desktop machines (which are more powerful than our laptops) out of our respective home offices and into the living room, so that we can work together smoothly. We shopped around for some intern desks, but found the prices to be a little excessive for our needs; so… a short trip to home depot found us set up with two desk-sized pieces of MDF and four plastic saw-horses; it was makeshift garage-ingenuity at it’s best; we saved a bundle and the “desks” come apart and store easily, and the components are useful on their own.
All-told we’re using four machines to develop Static:IT both our desktops and our laptops. When we continue renovating the house next year my office will definitely be set up for multi-developer in mind; the value of sitting next to the co-developer of the game and keeping communication easy and fast is huge.
Anyhow, back to the grind! With luck we should have another Static: Crunch-Time video Wednesday-ish
